People abandoned him near an apartment entrance in the fall of 2009, when he was only about a month old. An elderly woman, who already had many animals, picked him up and kept him in the hallway, where a neighbor mistreated him.

In 2010, while we were vacationing there, we saw him, fell in love, and took him home. And we happily lived together for another 14 years.
