Pyryzhok: The Quiet Warrior from the Shelter

I want to share our story about Pyryzhok. He came into our lives from a shelter, but before that, he had already been through a lot. The shelter found him right on their stairs – skinny, exhausted, barely alive. His chances were minimal, but Pyryzhok was a fighter. He clawed his way back to life, and from that moment on, he always carried an inner strength and wisdom.Pyryzhok was a serious and very intelligent cat. He rarely fussed, loved to play, but mostly with himself. His favorite toy was a green catnip mouse – we called it the “Thinking Mouse” or simply Friend-Mouse. You could often find Pyryzhok sitting thoughtfully in front of it, as if having an important conversation and listening carefully to the answers. Because of his seriousness and attentive gaze, as if asking, “What is your question? I am listening carefully,” we jokingly called him Mr. Chairman.Throughout his life, Pyryzhok saw a lot. He was with us during the hardest moments. Later, we went to Germany.Unfortunately, his health, weakened by his earlier street life, began to decline. Chronic kidney failure gradually progressed, and despite all our efforts to support him, we realized that Pyryzhok was preparing to leave us. In his final days, he recognized only his owner. But he lived his life with dignity – as a truly wise cat, a loyal friend, and an irreplaceable member of our family. We hope that we were as good companions to him as he was to us.We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to leave a memory of him – it means so much to us. ❤️
