Leo — Feline Wisdom and Love

We welcomed Leo into our lives in 2020 — it was love at first sight. Although he was already an adult cat and we became his fourth owners, I feel that he was looking for us. With us, he finally found a true family, which he harmoniously complemented, establishing his own rules.

Leo was a very calm cat. He observed everything from the height of his feline wisdom and could convey with just one look when something was amiss. He especially loved coming in the mornings to nap beside us.

In 2023, he was diagnosed with kidney failure; in 2024 — cancer; and in 2025 — heart disease. But he loved life deeply and always fought for it. We did everything we could to help him: taking him to the best veterinarians, trying every possible treatment. Yet the illness progressed, and we reached a dead end — no options remained. He refused food, his strength left him. Perhaps when he realised it was time to say goodbye, he stayed constantly with us: always on our laps, always by our side, as if asking not to be left alone.

For my husband and me, it was unbearably painful to say goodbye.
