Gavryusha, or Mr. Batonchik, as we more often called him, came into our hands as a small puppy in 2012. Like all little ones, he was very mischievous: he chewed walls and furniture, tore off wallpaper. Raising him was quite difficult due to his congenital deafness. Over time, of course, we found ways to communicate, and life together immediately became more vivid. Perhaps thanks to his deafness, he was always very kind, friendly, and sociable. He was not afraid of the vacuum cleaner or the hairdryer. He did not react to the apartment doorbell. The number of barks can be counted on one hand over all 12 years of his life.He was not afraid of long trips, or really any travels at all. He went kayaking with us, and repeatedly spent nights in a tent in the forest. So it can safely be said that his life was full of adventures. But, unfortunately, his life was also filled with many illnesses and, as a result, surgeries. Perhaps because of this, it was not possible to extend his life a little longer. We were with him all his life, and he was with us for a third of ours. I believe that is long enough for a person. Of course, one can say he was a member of our family. But it seems he was even something more.We really did not want to just bury him somewhere. Because it is unknown what would happen to that place afterward. And the memory stone will help us imagine a little that he is still somewhere close to us.
